I know it isn't ever stated in black and white, but has anyone ever wondered exactly how 'old' each of the Haibane are supposed to be?
ABe published the exact ages of each haibane, along with the true names for Reki, Rakka, and Kuu, but I don't remember where. It's out there, though.

Just letting anyone in Canada know about a great deal. Walmart has cheap anime DVDs (2 for 12$), including Lain, Haibane Renmei, and Niea_7. Not sure if the states has it.

Its a deal, and Its mostly Pioneer stuff. Aside from the above titles, theres Chobits, Soul Taker, Captain Herlock, Heat guy J, Various Tenchi titles... and a few mecha anime.
The real question is: are copies of DVDs released at Walmart the same, edit-wise, as a copy you would get ordering from, say, The Right Stuf?

I got the second and they had the fourth of Haibane Renmei. This was last year though.
FWIW, I just went to the walmart in milpitas california, didn't see any anime dvds at all much less pioneer/geneon. (they did have the remastered DBZ but that doesn't count). I already picked up the lain box set for $20 (used) at rasputin, but I need the other ABe works too and don't wanna shell out $100+ for the box sets. Oh well.

It's called the Lament Configuration or Lemarchand's Box.
Though not a Rubik's Cube, you can get Rubik's Cubes with Lemarchand's Box design on the sides. Just look on eBay for them.

I've been trying for a while now, and it always says 421, there are too many connected users.
FTP server has restrictions on 500 one time connections. Use special download programs (FlashFXP, Flash Get and other). Don't try download via browser.

Is Robot still being brought stateside? I ordered book 4 last fall, and now it's not even listed as orderable from Chapters, Amazon, or Right Stuf
Dunno. Maybe we should ping the DMP folks? They have fallen behind a fair bit - it's on the seventh or eighth volume in Japan now.
I emailed them a few days back, no reply yet. I hope it's just delayed. Vol3 was first listed for June/July but then bumped to October or November from what I remember.
Well, still no response, so I'm gonna go ahead and assume we aren't going to get the rest :(
