I never considered murata's artwork to be loli, he does use nudity at times but nudity doesn't necessarily equal loli if it's not used in a sexual manner.. but that's a subjective interpretation i guess. The same may be considered in ABe's early works where he more often used nudity.

I would also enjoy a Murata board. I have the third volume of Robot. <3

It makes no sense to make an adult Murata board, since he never produced any adult artwork to my knowledge.

It's also wrong to call his artwork lolicon. Some of his artwork does contain sexualized images of young teenage girls, but they are rarely sexualized. For example, the cover art for Robot Vol. 2 features a petite young girl in a slightly sexual situation, but the mood the picture creates is one of melancholy, not sexual arousal. You get the feeling that this is a girl who grew up too fast, and it's not a happy feeling at all. I don't see how anyone can use his artwork as masturbation material.

Anyway, the majority of Murata fans are not lolicons but fans of other anime-inspired artists like ABe, Jun Tsukasa, Kim Hyung Tae, etcetera etcetera. If it's possible, I'd rather see a board where you can post images from all these artists.

I was under the impression that Robot was just an outlet for a bunch of manga artists to freely draw a bunch of lolicon stuff under the guise of "art", maybe I'm wrong?

Did you bother reading Robot vol. 1? A good portion of the manga had absolutely nothing to do with lolicon, and the only real lolicon in Robot was Yasuto Miura's "Biting Summer Play," which by the way, had one of the best stories in the book.

A Range board would be great... especially since there is so much of his work that is only widely available in very low resolutions although he has tons of fans on the web. Some place where treasure hunters can post their stuff for everyone's pleasure is a good idea imo.

So any news on a new board? I could try hosting one myself if someone showed me how to go about doing it.

a murata forum would be a great idea. i really believe that thinking murata's artwork is not "sexualizing" young girls is kind of a misconception. I mean, it's not like his art doesn't have a more deep content than just "sexy little girls", since it's really expresive and all, but, i really believe part of it's purpouse is, well, making sexy little girls. Robot is a very eclectic work :/

i propose that one thread on this board be dedicated to a different artist. we fill the thread up until it sinks and then we start a new thread with a different artist.

I may be unable to devote energies toward a future board, it seems to be alot more work than it seems, either that or I just dont know what i'm doing hehe. Maybe after my classes end I can see what i can do.

Robot 1 is a good one. Murate & Abe, plus some others you may like, you may dislike. Very good for the price, if you ask me (yes, I have one...)

By the way, to Martin: with Shirow, the problem is... Well, he likes to draw nude, plus he has a few hardcore hentai pictures, many soft. Not a big No loli, only "well-developed". Oh, and at http://www.seishinsha-online.co.jp/ in the "english/gallary" menu, you can find 2 new free pictures every month, worksafe as far as I can remember, maybe borderline for some.

He did do about three Loli pictures to my knowlage. All three are in his pirate style hentai collection. (Hellcat? Blackcat?)

When you're talking about Shirow, loli is the least of your problems. You should just avoid him.
