It's that time of year again, when I have a lot of free time and a connection that can seed torrents. So! Have an ABe torrent. 1.42GB. Lots of stuff in it that should be familiar to the regulars of these boards. 4chan is already all over the torrent, so hopefully this will stay seeded for a while.

"Texhnolyze sketches and storyboard" from 4chan, creator said this:

"photocopies. got them as a gift after a panel by Yoshitoshi Abe and Yasuyuki Ueda at a con a few years ago.

other people also got some texhnolyze, some haibane renmei, and some from the old shitty hellsing anime."
>>
Yeah, that's already in there - got it a few years ago. Unless they're different Texhnolyze scans (but the filesizes are the same, so I doubt it).

Many thanks.

Could someone please seed the torrent. Please. Please.

>> No.8

I'd hate to be the second one, but I too would really appreciate some seeds for this torrent right now.

>> No.9

I'd love to, but I'm currently in school firewalled-out-the-wazoo mode. In the worst case, though, I'll be back home sometime in mid-october, and I'll be able to torrent it again then.

A week ago my friend downloaded 2,5GB of ABe's works, artbooks, doijinshi. This is really impresive collection. I'm gonna put some samples on this board soon. :)

>> No.11

Wow. 2.5GB? What'd it have in it? I can't think of too much that mine's missing, outside of most of the haibane script collections and one or two of the really old ones (like "_" and "Shooting Star") that nobody seemed to know much about. Please do post samples! (and if it's possible to get your friend to make a torrent/rapidshare/whatever, that'd be incredible)

I second the motion.

Incidentally, if anybody needs the old torrent re-seeded, my magical voodoo computer powers have (temporarily?) enabled me to torrent again, even from school. Seems it's got three or four seeds hanging around right now anyhow, so if you were waiting to grab it, give it a shot.

>> No.14

Way late...but can anyone help seed?

I was just taking real interest in ABe's work...

>> No.15

I'm in another country for the next month and a half. I'm pretty sure I'd get deported if I tried to torrent something that big from here. When I get back I'll probably do an updated torrent - I think we've found/scanned another two or three doujins since the last one.

>> No.17

Everybody wave at the spam-bot! Say "Hi, spam-bot!"

And now that that's out of the way, the long-promised torrent:

http://upload.deadfrog.us/yoshitoshi%20ABe.torrent

Enjoyez-vous. My upload speed is gonna be horrifically slow, but I'll leave it going for quite a while.

>> No.18

...Huh. And I was temp-banned from /t/ for posting that - "at least half of the stuff you're torrenting is licensed. " Maybe the mod thought I was posting DVD-rips or something?

This is something like the third or fourth year in a row that I've posted this there, and the content has barely changed, outside of two or three new doujins (which are definitely absolutely not licensed). What gives?

>> No.19

Just the normal paranoia that everyone has in this universe these days.

>> No.20

Hrumph. Appeal denied, too.

Is anything in there actually properly licensed any more? I know DMP did the Lain artbook, but I have said artbook - it's different from the original Omnipresence in Wired in a lot of ways. Other than that, Robot is back to licensing limbo, Tokyopop has shown no sign of touching NieA_7 in a good five or six years, and of course Fanboy Entertainment, with licenses on the "Essence" artbook and the never-released White Rain, are totally defunct.

Honest question - if a show is licensed, is all related material licensed with the show?

>> No.21

tell me what your ip is and i'll fix it

>> No.22

or i just do it myself

>> No.23

I've had my computer running 24 hours a day since Monday morning just to get this, and damned if it wasn't worth the wait.

Glad you think so.

(oh, and don't worry about the /t/ ban thingum, I don't have any time to waste there or much of anywhere else for the next two weeks.)

>> No.25

too late I already did it

and I think rk finished translating whatever it was

>> No.26

Hwah? Did he? rk, if you did, and you're about to read this, fire off the script to my cleverly disguised email address!
